Welcome to www.kappaxiomega.org, the national website of Kappa Xi Omega Sorority Incorporated. Kappa Xi Omega is a community oriented, community based organization created and designed to articulate and encourage community consciousness, bring unity among women, teach networking skills with other influential and innovative women of the lesbian community. The preponderance of members' time is spent in community service, mentoring and enhancing our sisterhood through sisterly associations and education. In Kappa Xi Omega we instill in our sisters a greater awareness of the need for commitment to our community- to become more responsive to the needs and concerns of our communities.
There are many organizations a woman can join but none are quite like a sorority. All sororities were founded to aid their communities and provide opportunities of Sisterhood. Yet each has something different to offer. A sorority is defined as a social organization for women yet it offers women so much more by bringing them to together to focus on actively making a change in the communities in which they reside. The Kappa Distinction is we are interested in developing each member as a person so collectively we are women of essence that are dedicated to making our mark through service and sacrifice.
